It's fast approaching the time of year when we start to hopefully think of others, who are far less fortunate than ourselves, this year again we will be going to Rutherford School for children with profound learning difficulties in Croydon, South London. This school receives no external funding and they very much look forward to us arriving as their only Toy Run sponsor each year.

 

Our hope and wish is that this year we make a special effort to come out in force as motorcyclists and support such a worthy cause, the work and kindness that the staff put into Rutherford deserves much more than we can give, but with our help we can brighten the day for a few and try and make this Christmas a little bit better for all the children.

 

We always make the event extra special for the children, parents and staff by dressing up the bikes as well as the riders. Prizes for best dressed bike and best dressed rider.

o   10:30 - Meet at Bexley Road Safety Centre, Baugh Road, Footscray, Sidcup, DA14 5ED

o   12:00 Meet at Wolsey Junior Academy School, Castle Hill Avenue Entrance, New Addington, Croydon, CR0 0TF

  

Every year we ask the teachers what would be on their wish list for us to bring along.  The latest list can be found at www.teachmetoride.co.uk/ToyRunGifts.  Please dig deep into your pockets as these children don't get any support elsewhere. Phoenix will also be making two donations to the school at this event.

 

So please put this very important date into your diary as it's one not to be missed and of course we are hoping that Santa might also come out to play and join us.

 

Once again this event is of course open to everyone, from CBT level to advanced, pillions are very welcome, you can attend by bike, car or whichever way you can join us, the more the merrier.
